As found in many freemium mobile games, the concept of "friends", "allies" is found in LOTB under the "troopers" appellation.
Troopers are definitely your friends, and you'll thank the game for giving you the first 3 bot troopers.
Each of your troopers will help you in two ways :
1-They expose a "champion" that you can use in your battles once a day.
2-When you use their champions or they use your champion, you both earn 25 trooper badges.
